Some wildest times of my life...

I left you off from creating my own troubles by ending up sleeping with CB. It wasn't pretty. Text messages from G pour into my mobile daily either swearing at me or simply begging me to tell him that I loved him.
It was too early, and perhaps the wrong times. G is a great person, and we simply just met too late. Had we got together really early on in my Germany journey, perhaps there would have been something more solid there. The naive me thought it might have worked, but obviously close by temptations were too irresistable, especially bad for a beginning relationship.
I think I was also going through a stage when I actually found what I wanted in life, and I didn't want to repeat what I had with DC and miss out on everything. So I took risks, and took less care of those around me.
Since the first night CB and I established that what is between us is simply a fling, something we use to satisfy our physical needs. Both of us didn't want another burden when he eventually have to go back to Germany so we kept it at that.
At the same time, I was completing my final year project at uni and was in a group of four fellow students. Group work can be really frustrating, however I support the use of practical group work to train us future-professionals in establishing good working relationship with colleagues later on. It's a really good training I must say, and I think those who have had to work in a group on a practical assignment will agree with me.
We had two international students in our group, one of them simply did nothing all semester. It was extremely frustrating, as our project is a big one, designing a customs security system required for a made up country (however, need to pretend the country does exist and that we have been contracted for the job) - it was not easy task and having non-coorperating groups really does put a lot more work on the others. Unfortunately the other international student, although hard-working, could not really understand the requirements as well and will only do as much as she is told. So, essentially the entire project was done in the 48 hours before the project was due, by the two of us left having to write up the entire design document and most of the research.
There must be something about two people working too closely with each other. You either end up hating each other guts, or you end up being good friends. In our case, we ended up, and still are great friends, too close in fact, we celebrated the end of our project with a night out drinking and ended up in my bedroom.
Now I know why people would have affairs with people they work with, especially if they happen to be away from their spouse. The human emotions are simply too fragile to toy with.
