What is love?

Have I ever shared this with you guys? I am part of the Helium community and one of the topic was 'What is love?'

I only wrote a small short piece for it and I thought I'd share it here as it relates to the blog's theme. You can also read other people's articles on the same title through the link as well.

----- What is love? -----

Love is a diverse word with numerous meanings and associations. What is love? Mostly described as a feeling towards a special someone, a life partner. However, one can also love their family and their friends, and in this context, love means totally different things.

Love for a lover is the most commonly spoken yet complicated form. Biologically, when we are in love, the chemicals cause our bodies to have certain reaction. We start to feel dizzy, light headed and weak. [Click to read more]

I beg to differ on the imagaination comment, love is everywhere - when your are hurt by love you become estranged to it, i am sure you dont imagine loving your family, child, pet do you?

Anonymous has a pretty good point. The word "love" may just be a coined terminology but I believe the attraction, chemical and physical reactions are real. The term "love" may even be just an excuse to always be with someone, to give oneself, be generous, be enslaved, and sometimes to be stupid. But hey, somebody's got to come up with a name for something that bad! Afterall, you don't do all that stuff for everyone

I sometimes also do doubt the term love - often used too sparingly and will eventually seem like an imagination. But like Market Newbie I do believe the attraction, chemical and physical reactions are real. I know I love Will and definitely do not love my Dad. If it was an imagination I would of thought I will say I love my Dad simply because of his status in my family?

I dunno - sorry, didn't mean to start this off as a debate!

Now, now... hasn't this become the subject?????? love will succeed any thing... we succeed because we believe, belief comes from the heart - where we find love. Do you ask the real reasons as to why we dont love some one or some thing? i'm not talking about the material reasons but the honest make you cry reasons? Usually it is because someone has hurt you, your soul. If you dont love yourself it is easy to find faults that you may never tell any one about, yet live with every day, you blame the one you thought should have loved you a certain way for the reason you feel the way that you do. Love comes in many forms but to expell love or to lesson the power it has over the human being that we all are is disrespecting the experience that life truley has to offer.
