Back to the ring
July 30th 2009 12:38
Ok, back to the topic of the ring. You all know we've just been to Malaysia right? And did I mention we happened to bump into Malaysia's Mega Sale Festival 2009?
So we though why not have a look if there is anything suitable and get them 70% off?
We searched high and low, there were plenty of couple rings to choose from, including those made out of stainless steel. Of course, being our wedding ring I thought I really should stop being stingy and at least look for something 'real' so we walked into various jewellers and checked out the couple rings they had on offer.
There were some really nice ones, but even with the Malaysian pricing they were still a little out of my mental budget. I know AUD$1000 for a pair of rings is nothing compared to some of the prices we pay back home, but still. There were a couple of pairs that were around the AUD$600 mark, but they were either too "blingy" or just plain too ugly. Even Will didn't like them! There is something about putting diamonds on the guy's ring as well. Do they usually have it? I thought the guy's ring normally is just plain metal?
So, we still don't have one.
Not to worry, the wedding is not for another 11 months.
I was also on the look out for a white beachy dress for the wedding as well, but everything was either too skimpy short, or too expensive or too formal. Maybe I should just opt for a white bikini like Pamela Anderson.
Oh ew... maybe not.
