Next - the guest list

So. I've printed the invitation right? No getting out of it now.
Next up is the guest list - which is pretty much just our families and a couple of close friends. Ideally we really only wanted our parents to be there, but then you know how siblings are. They start arguing with you and stuff and then your parents also wants to invite a couple of the family friends along etc.
So we've put the word out there that it's going to be a small wedding, family and close friends only. A total of around 50 invitations, probably only 1/2 of the invited will come along because they live in areas where Vanuatu is going to be hard to get to. You never know though, they might actually be bothered!
So I've been busy putting together some rough ideas for everyone who are looking to attend our wedding an estimated cost for them to stay in the venue resort. You know, just so they can start saving coz it's not like we can book anything yet. Contracts for prices are generally available only 10 months ahead of time, so I am also waiting to book the wedding myself.
Some of my high school friends are not angry but rather just a little disappointed that I am not going to invite everyone. I do feel bad but I really don't want this to blow out of proportion. Would you be offended if one of your friends (not best friend or anything) decide not to invite you to a wedding because they want to keep it small? I know I am suppose to see my wedding as a big thing, but considering I've already been talked into having a proper wedding rather than just rocking up to the office of marriage and birth registry... I think I am at my limit for a small wedding....
