I'll see you soon, my love
February 22nd 2008 09:06
So my stay in Coffs is coming to an end for now. We still haven't found a place to live yet and Will is currently stuck in a motel for the next week.
We were just sitting on our bed at the motel room this afternoon, resting from a morning running around to real estate agents and suddenly, he turns to me and says: "I really love you, you know?"
"Of course darling, I know that. I love you too."
"No, I really do mean it. I really appreciate all the sacrifice you are going to be doing for me. Thank you for supporting me through this whole thing." [referring to going to uni for the first time in 10 years after high school as well as moving to Coffs]
I just looked at him, this beautiful man who is so courageous to take up this challenge at the age of 27, who is going to be the first person in his whole family whom will have a uni degree.
'I know. Just promise me you won't quit half way."
Ohh I will be so upset if he does, after all I've got to put through for him!
I don't want to leave. I hate having to leave in the middle of everything, while we still are waiting for our rental applications to come through, while there are still places to view and to apply for. While Will is still stuck in a motel, and most of all, will be spending his own birthday (next Wednesday) alone in a motel room because I have to be back in Sydney for another three months of work.
I don't want to leave, because I know this is a time when he is going to need me most; when everything is new to him and he will have to deal with it all by himself.
I don't want to leave because after many months trying to figure out if I am really ready to settle, and trying to get used to being engaged, I realise that I finally am ready; and I realise how much being together means to both of us.
Love is a funny emotion. It stirs your world around, it makes you do things you normally wouldn't do, and it forces you to have to compromise, yet, we keep doing it.
Also knowing that he sincerely appreciates me, and loves me, makes it all the better.
So I am back to Sydney tomorrow to deal with a long three months of finalising my job, then the next chapter of our love's adventure, begins.

Flashes of memories
I really hope the next three months fly by for you... it`s tough being far apart from the one you love when the seas get a little stormy.
All the best with everything and happy birthday to Will for next week!
