Oh, I am still alive...

I just noticed that I haven't posted anything on any of my title blogs for 4 days. It doesn't seem long in real life, but blog-wise it's almost like neglecting you all.
Well, I am back from my trip in Melbourne and it's been great seeing family and friends again and my cat. She really did miss me. She has been following me around the house every since! Her purrs melt me every time. She definitely know how to get me to love her.
I had a good conversation on the plane with my colleague. We have been talking about why I haven't set a date on the wedding yet. Well, besides the fact that I don't really want a wedding and just want to go sign our names at the registry, I mentioned that in a way, I am still a little bit afraid of the concept of marriage. Explaining it carefully without hurting his feelings (my colleague is married with two kids) I said that looking at married and people with family around me makes me feel like marriage really take away your freedom etc.
And then we somehow got onto the topic about committed relationships and stuff and he asked "ever since you got engaged have you ever been tempted?"
Honestly, yes. I don't believe you can't be tempted just because you are committed to a relationship. Everyone gets tempted once in a while. We are only human after all, but I think it's that commitment that stops you from being unfaithful.
So yes. I have been tempted, and yes sometimes I do fantasise about other people (mainly Orlando Bloom but Will knows that already) but if I've made a commitment I am going to stick to it.
The conversation then went on about being gay (don't you love having colleagues who you can talk about things not related to work?) - I mentioned that I used to live with a guy that is gay, a girl that is a lesbian and with me being straight, it was a very confused household. Isn't it funny that a man would find two women kissing attractive where two men kissing wouldn't do anything for women in general?
Speaking of gay - I finally got back in contact and met up with my old gay flatmate. It's so good to be in touch after we had a fall out three years ago. As he says, good friendships are too precious to lose!
I am blabbering again aren't I? I have been doing this a little too often lately... it's my last two weeks at my currently corporate job, and I can't wait to be up in Coffs Harbour now.
