Mission almost-accomplished

It's funny how I somehow feel proud that our bathroom is finally renovated, and it's looking really good and all - yet I wasn't the one who did the work!
I am proud that I paid the right person to do the work maybe? hehe
In whichever case, I am proud that the unit is now in a live-able condition. We started the work as soon as our tenants moved out mid-August. Painting had been done mostly by Will and some of our willing volunteers. I did do some too, but having worked most of the Saturdays since then my contribution had been limited.
However there are a couple of spots that we missed (we didn't realise at the time of painting) so we need to brush them through again, after we buy more paint. We've gone through about 6 tins of 2 Litre paints for the feature walls in each room, 8 Litres of the off white colour for the rest of the walls as well as a 4 Litre gloss paint for the window sills and doors. Last weekend we also pasted the "wall map" on the study wall and it's all looking good.
It makes me feel like we really are growing up and settling down.
The parent thing I spoke of last post haven't completely been resolved. For some reason there is always something negative Dad just have to say everytime he comes over to "Check" our progress. Maybe it's just him. It's the whole "I like this so everyone must do as well" and not understanding that everyone have different tastes and different needs and his way is not always the best way.
Oh wells.
This weekend we are moving most of our stuff in and finally can move out of our temporary beds at my parents.
Although I think Mum has now got used to us living here she doesn't want us to move! I mean, for the past 8 years I've always lived out, but I think now that I actually OWN a place she knows the chance of me visiting or wanting to stay over is a lot slimmer than before.
Poor mummy. But unfortunately everyone grows up.
OMG speaking of growning up, we are turning 30 next year....
