Just some random thoughts

I wake up every morning to make myself a bowl of cereal (Ok... POUR myself a bowl of cereal) and I sit there watching the garden where some of our resident doves (they live in the bush in front of the house) often go and try to catch some early bugs.
I was just watching the two sitting on the branches, rubbing each other on the neck, all fluffed up and keeping each other warm from the morning chill, and I thought "how cute. Even birds love"
I always find it fascinating how some animals mate for life, and for us humans, the only animal that seem to have complex thoughts and intelligence, we sometimes can't even keep hold of a relationship, let alone - mate for life.
It's always really sweet watching birds clean each other. There is just something about that gentle pecking around the features as a sign of care... dunno, I just think it's sweet. It's also sweet watching an adult cat groom their kitten. Although, I am glad my parents didn't have to lick me to clean me. That would be rather disgusting.
Anyways, I am out of ideas to write. Absolutely no inspiration these days what so ever...

Anyway, going back to your love thoughts... you are right about those supposedly lower form of animals knowing how to express love and concern. I have a pic (which I snapped myself) of a family of monkeys (father, mother and a toddler(?)) spending quality time together. And I still can't believe it!
