Mother's day and another week
May 13th 2008 00:55
Oops, did I miss mother's day? I can't help it if I am on a business trip in between! I did have a great time having Will down in Melbourne with me though. I do like Melbourne and absolutely enjoyed being pampered by the hotel.
I noticed another orbler writing about why they hate mother's day. Well, in a way, I don't like it too. It goes with all sorts of these "days" like mothers day, fathers day, valentine's day, secretary day etc. More products of consumerism rather than sincere appreciation. I mean, why do we have to have ONE day to show our affection/appreciation of people around us? Why is it that we can't be nice to these people all the time?
Anyway, another week in Melbourne then I am off back home. Will left this morning so I won't see him again until when I formally finish wit this job and get up to Coffs myself. I am really looking forward to it now, now that I have a job secured and know that I won't be lining up at Centrelink.
And - Will has promise me that since I am the one having to support 'the family' for now while he is at uni full time, he'll cook me my breakfasts before work, my dinners after work and really pamper me at home. What a great fiance
I've trained him well!
We both really like Melbourne and we both think we'll probably move here if we don't end up moving overseas. I like moving. It's sort of like mini-travels in a way. It allows me to see a place outside a traveller's eye (and there are always things to enjoy as a local rather than just a traveller)
Thankfully Will thinks the same way, otherwise I don't know how this relationship is going to work.
I am rambling now aren't I? Sorry. I have been repeating myself over and over again at work (I am doing some training for the guys here in Melbourne) and I really don't know how real teachers do it. I can even recite my training in my sleep. Scary thing.
