Let the planning (and booking) begin!

I haven't been putting it off, but as our wedding is like... more than 12 months away, I simply cannot plan anything or even book anything.
I really just want to get it over and done with!
Or perhaps I am just getting too bored at work I spend WAY too much time reading the brochures and yet not being able to actually make any solid plans...
So. Everyone knows I am getting married in Vanuatu right? Just in case you were wondering what I have been talking about. So, there is the venue and the resort to book as well as getting some rooms reserved for my guests. I am not paying of course, but we want to make sure there are plenty of rooms available!
Except, prices for accommodation are contracted on a yearly basis, and to book next July the prices probably won't come out until september/October time.
Hopefully when I am able to book I would still be a travel agent so I can just manage all the stuff without having to trouble one of my colleagues!
And then it'll be done, as you just pay them the money and they organise it all for you.
One of the reasons I am having this wedding 'off shore'
I have made some progress - I've actually got the invitations done already. Since it's going to be in Vanuatu I am making the invitations like a post card. I've chosen a nice photo with a beach/palm tree back ground and put the details on it. I am just going to send it in the form of a post card.
What do you think of that idea?
It's not like we are inviting a lot of people. It's just going to be family and close friends, but apparently I should still have an invitation done up (and an invite via Facebook is not the go, as I have been told off by my sister already!)
