One year to go
July 10th 2009 12:09
Today marks exactly one year before our wedding.
It's not really significant seeing that most people have it over and done with around 6 months from being engaged, but as I thought of the fact that today is 10 July and next year today, I'd be married, it's kind of pretty cool.
Mind you, it's still another 12 months to go. I jokingly said to Will it's our cooling off period. If any of us change our minds, there is still time to run!
Just kidding.
Now I am regretting not having our wedding earlier, as having choosing to marry in Vanuatu, there is nothing to organise, so it's now just a waiting game. Invitations have been printed and I am just waiting to book the actual thing, and hand over the money. I can start booking the trip from next week onwards so I might just get onto it after we get back from Malaysia.
Oh yeah, going to Malaysia in 3 days! Remember last year I mentioned I managed to get some free seats (and pay taxes only) on Air Asia's launch for Australia, and I had booked this July's holidays last August?
Yep, the trip has finally come (and finally there will be fresh updates on Travel String!) in the beginning I was going to keep it cheap and stay in hostels, but lately I've found some good deals that I've just decided to book us all into hotels so we can splurg a little, since most of the time we don't generally spoil ourselves. So yay, look out for updates. Once again I'll probably be posting first and photos to be updated when I get back.
I am also looking forward to this trip because living under my parents' roof has been driving both of us nuts. It's like back in school again but we didn't really want to go and rent a place for just 3 months while waiting for our new unit to be ready for us. Hopefully my tenants will decide to move out sooner than later
But yeah, I think Will is getting a bit mad too, having to deal with the family!
Although it is amazing how well my parents get on with Will. I guess that is one less thing I have to worry about - it seems like once we are married we'll all get on just fine, because I know some couples simply cannot stand their in-laws!

I know you think it's a long way away but the year will go quickly, believe me.
