Last day of work
February 26th 2009 02:16
The day has finally come. While Will has already moved to Sydney I have been up here myself to continue with work. Today marks my very last day at the store in Coffs Harbour, and it's feeling very strange indeed.
You know how you get to know people and actually bond with them and then you have to leave and it's just sad? That's how I am feeling at the moment. I've been emailing all day to my colleagues and clients alike - have gone to my local cafes to say bye and everything and the whole process is quite upsetting.
The good feeling comes when clients do reply and say that it has been a pleasure dealing with me and the others who say they'll miss me. But as we all know - no one ever knows what will happen in the future and the relationship, whether it be just friends or professional - generally fades with time and distance.
From next week onwards I'll actually be temping for another store up here before making the final move down to Sydney. The drive will be interesting with the cat in the car for 6 hours. I won't be starting my new job until mid-April, in fact I don't even know which store I am being transferred to yet so that news will come later.
I think I might make Coffs Harbour my regular "get away from Sydney" spot when I need a break
