Merry Christmas everyone!
December 25th 2009 08:59
Meanwhile, I am sitting in my resort room in Fiji - after having a massive Christmas buffet with too much to eat and drink, and I am extremely merry.
I am really looking forward to 2010. Not only will I be starting a new job, we are going to be a lot more financially stable (and have the prospect of actually being able to pay off our wedding), it is also the year we both turn 30 (big year!) and will be getting married.
This trip was meant to be a trial run for my mum, who has nerve and brain cell problems that her movement and sense are all a bit mixed up, to see if she'll be able to fly to Vanuatu and be there for our wedding.
So far so good.
To me, any new environment, seaside environment especially, are good for patients, whatever they suffer from.
Mum can't drive anymore, nor can she walk further than next door, so unless we are there to drive her around, most of the time she has to stay home and be bored.
So anyway I thought a new environment would do her good, to we all decided to come to Fiji this year. It has been good. Her spirits are up and enjoying the sea very much. All the staff at the resort here are extremely friendly and very helpful.
I think she quite liked having all these strong young Fijian men helping her! *giggles*
So she can definitely make it all the way to our wedding, considering Vanuatu is closer to Sydnney than Fiji is.
So you see, 2010 will be a great one.
And I hope it will also be for you too!!!!
