Cat owners are smarter!

I keep stressing that I love animals - cats, dogs, birds, fish, goats, whales and cute monsters, but something caught my eyes that couldn't stop me from smiling about being a cat owner:

The articles claim that perhaps it's more of a lifestyle choice as busy degree holding professionals get too busy to take care of dogs and cats are the perfect alternative besides gold fish.
It also has to do with whether the owner has a large family with children but are sole/couple occupany living status.
In my case, I started off always wanting a dog. One day by chance a few stray kittens were caught and I was told that they were straight off to the RSPCA. 3 week old kittens would not survive the RSPCA so I decided to adopt one to save it, and now I am a proud owner of 5 year old Kitty.
And so it happens - I have always lived in tiny little apartment/shared accommodation so there is never room for a dog.
Eventually I would like to have a dog when we get a proper house. But for now - being smart will have to do
