And it's a new set of adventures
February 15th 2008 11:51
I've decided I need a personal sort of blog. Perhaps I felt a need to speak about my own feelings (following Crystal's examples on Fear Love Hate) and adventures since I've been engaged, and since then I've been feeling a lot. A bit about this whole relationship thing and a lot about myself.
So, I've taken over this blog with a semi-suitable name, to give it a new life since it was abandoned some time ago, and perhaps will become an outlet for my joy and cries (hopefully more joy than cries!)
Maybe I should start from the beginning. His name is Will, and since the beginning of our relationship it has been an adventure. We met in Peru while on the volunteer project you would have heard about on Travel String and it has since then developed really fast.
My longest relationship before lasted me 6 years, and that didn't even end up anywhere. I can't believe just a little less than two years I am engaged to a person I've carried bricks with.
Maybe that was the trick. Maybe it was the way we valued in the same things, being able to see each other during their worst times (staying together three weeks without a proper shower and clean clothes... there HAS to be some real spark there!) that we are able to stick together to this day.
I suppose I'll take you along this adventure of mine little by little. It's going to be a little bit different to my usual travel writing but hey, who says non-fiction writers can't have feelings too?

I'm not logged in, but i was the previous writer of love/adventures.
I had 2 deaths within my close friendship and family in the small timespan of 3 weeks, and have only just returned to the blogosphere. It's taken me a long time to recover. I've come back to a shock and sad state that my blog has since gone to you, another user. Your writing is good, i like it,
I just hope you don't subconsciously patronise the webtitle too much. I loved this blog and i came back to write on a permanant basis. You musn't let it slip, as it has so much potential. Good luck, and keep on with the excellent writings X

I am really sorry to hear you've just gone through a tough time and returning to find your blog hijacked by me... if I had known you were coming back I would have asked the Admins to keep it for you!
Thank you for dropping by though and I am glad you like my writing. I promise to try not to patronise the title too much and won't let it slip!
