First, the updates. Then, about G...

March 2nd 2008 22:21
Before I continue with my story, I'd just like to provide a little bit of update: We've finally found a place to live up in Coffs Harbour. Well, it's not right in Coffs Harbour, it's in a suburb called Toormina next to Sawtell, which is perfect because it's about five minutes bike ride for Will to uni, and a ten minutes bike ride for me to the row of lovely cafes in Sawtell, as well as the beach.

I haven't seen the place yet, Will saw the open house after I had already left and the application got processed really quickly because it was through the same franchise of agent that we were renting from in Sydney, and our agent put in good words for us on the day.

So there is a tip for all of you still renting - try renting from the same brand of agents because they like internal clients and you can bypass most of the ID checks.

So, the truck is coming today to pick up everything in my parent's garage (which I am sure they will be happy about, and my sister can finally park her car back in) and arrive in Coffs tomorrow morning to drop off to Will. We were also lucky to be able to get a backload deal from a company in Brisbane, whose truck is currently in Sydney needing to be driven back. Otherwise all other quotes for the move were above $2000

The ordeal will finally be over soon and we'll have a place to call our own for the next twelve months.

------------->>>>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<<<---------------

So we left off last time with me finally getting it on with G. It had been brewing for a while by then and things moved quickly. It was my last two weeks in Germany but there was no stopping him from committing to a relationship. I on the other hand, knew eventually this would either end, or one of us would have to move countries really quickly, so I wasn't completely convinced it would work. For the sake of the moment, I went along.

G was everything DC wasn't. He was polite, he was caring, both of us were nerds studying Computing Sciences and both of us practice the same martial arts. There couldn't have been a better match.

So I thought.

We spent everyday together, going to uni, hanging out, training.

You know, there is something really weird about training martial arts with someone you care about or rather, someone you are in a relationship with. You take a punch, you twist and throw the person, and then, he asks "Are you ok?"

Yes G, you've done this to me a million times before, we just weren't in love with each other.

The whole point is to put effort into your training, but when you are forever aware of the possible damages you might be doing to the other person, suddenly, you do everything so softly.

So we ended up agreeing not to partner during training, for the sake of being able to improve ourselves and being able to practice properly.

It was indeed, beautiful. One of my good friend that was with me in Germany, and who saw me through the DC drama, even commented that I looked like I 'shined'. I was truly happy and I knew I wasn't seeing G as just a bounce, but perhaps I should have given it a bit more thought, knowing that it would turn into a long distance again.

After I returned home, and managed to still speak to him everyday on the phone either really early in the morning or really late at night (due to the time difference) and he was saving up to come to Sydney to visit in about five months time.

And this time, I think the role of the bad guy in the relationship reversed, and in the end, it was me that caused the damage.....
