A lack of internet means a lack of love/life.

So, my next door neighbour and i have an agreement: i use her wireless internet for a smile in return. Trouble is, as she never uses it, it sometimes breaks down and there is no chance she'll know about it, for weeks sometimes, and of course i'm to polite to ask her if i can come into her house to fix it for her. I mean, i couldn't even flirt with her; she's got a kid! A real little brat aswell, never stops crying or shitting or regurgitating. Thus, i'm without the internet for 2 weeks.
I'll post what i was intending to post when i get back online. Blame the women. It makes life for the male race a lot easier. Meanwhile, i have come online today at the library, the hub of semi-homeless/retired/Polish people looking for a way to find a new wife online or search down past relatives (with great effort i might add - i spoke to a gent a week ago when i was in the library doing research for my dissertation, who had spent two years creating his family tree, almost from scratch).
I barely have time to use the internet if i'm at the library though, as i've not needed to for years. So today, it came as quite a shock when i discovered i couldn't go on myspace, facebook, or livejournal, as it was 'only for adults'. I always thought i was an adult, even if it was only by legal status, but the old lady behind the counter decided otherwise.
So, my entire plans to catch up with my business, social life, and journal, were ruined. It made me realise, briefly, that having a social life that depended on the internet to work, was quite scary. Then i realised i could access the internet through my phone. Problem solved.
It brought me to thinking how the modern age has really only began in the last 6-7 years. I remember in 2000 still arranging to meet at a location at a certain time. If it went tits up, there was no way of getting in touch with anyone and you'd just have to miss out on the day. Now, a simple txt can save the day. It is simply amazing how technology has boomed so much in the last decade.
I'd argue that it has brought love a bit closer aswell, but i'm sure there are many opposing arguments to this. What i will say is, it's a lot easier to say 'i love you' by txt, and it's a lot easier to say, 'i like you, but your sister is just too attractive for us to date anymore', i'll leave the rest of the arguments to you.
